If you encounter any complicated problems during daily maintenance or troubleshooting, contact H3C Support.
Collecting server information
Before contacting H3C Support, collect the following server information to facilitate troubleshooting:
· Log and sensor information of modules in the chassis.
· Product serial number.
· Product model and name.
· Snapshots of error messages and descriptions.
· Hardware change history of the chassis and modules in the chassis, including installation, replacement, insertion, and removal of hardware.
Preparing tools
To facilitate troubleshooting, prepare the following tools as needed:
· Diagonal pliers.
· Multimeter.
· Interface cable (such as network cable).
· Access terminal (such as a PC).
· ESD wrist strap, antistatic gloves, and antistatic clothing.

Hot swapping |
If a component supports hot swapping, the component can be directly removed or installed during the operating of the server without powering off the server, thereby ensuring the service continuity. |
Redundancy |
If a component (such as a fan) supports redundancy, the system can automatically call the standby component to take over services when the component fails. |
