It is the best neurosurgery hospital in China and one of the top three neurosurgery research centers in the world. The hospital has a total building area of 350,000 square meters, with 1,650 beds and daily outpatients about 8,000. It ranks 26th in overall national ranking.

For the information system architecture of the hospital, the business and data it carries are crucial to the lives and health of patients and the stable operation of the hospital. Therefore, a stable and reliable ICT architecture design is the preferred choice for healthcare institutions. The new hospital's information infrastructure adopts a single-campus "two-site three-center" design, with two main data centers achieving network and business redundancy to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations 24/7. The backup data center serves as the hospital's data-level backup and serves as the hospital's supercomputing center. The entire hospital utilizes over 600 network devices and more than 2,000 wireless IoT APs, building three separate networks that are commonly used in the healthcare industry: clinical network, office network, and equipment network. These networks are isolated from each other but have certain business connections. To achieve unified operations and maintenance, a set of operations and maintenance management systems is used to achieve unified intelligent operations and maintenance for the three networks, simplifying the network architecture and reducing operational difficulties.

The hospital adopts over ten high-performance servers and storage devices to create a dual-active data center for the entire hospital, ensuring "zero interruption of business and zero data loss" for critical systems such as HIS and EMR. Nearly 200 H3C R4900 servers are used to build the hospital's private cloud platform, accommodating non-critical business systems of the entire hospital.
