STN-ER Equipment Online in Guangdong

To realize the construction goals of China Telecom's 5G transport network, ensure the rapid deployment of 5G services, and build a new generation of 5G transport network, H3C recently assisted China Telecom's Dongguan branch in the successful launch and provision of STN-ER device. As the first pair of ER devices to go online in Guangdong province, this achievement establishes a solid foundation for Dongguan Telecom's 5G transport network. The successful launch is another milestone in the collaborative efforts of H3C and China Telecom to advance the innovative construction of 5G networks. It also signifies that H3C, leveraging its innovative technological strength and rich practical experience, will work hand in hand with its operator partners in the 5G era, jointly creating a new chapter.

Building a high-quality 5G transport network

In order to meet the new requirements of 5G services for network bandwidth, latency, slicing, and intelligence, and to enhance user experience, China Telecom began researching the architecture and technical standards of the 5G transport network as early as 2017. After nearly three years of thorough verification and laboratory testing, STN was ultimately chosen as the technical standard for China Telecom's 5G transport network. H3C, as a strategic partner of China Telecom Group, has played a comprehensive role in supporting the construction of China Telecom's 5G network. In the transformation and innovative development of 5G networks, H3C has achieved continuous breakthroughs in both technology and application.

H3C not only actively participated in the research and discussions on China Telecom's 5G STN technical specifications and network management SDN interface specifications but also timely launched 5G STN products that combine innovation and stability. In 2019, the entire series passed the centralized testing organized by China Telecom Group. In 2020, H3C successfully entered the China Telecom Group's STN procurement project on a large scale, reaching 12 provinces and serving more than half of the telecom business in southern provinces."
