This hotel is located in Sanya, a coastal city in China. After the construction of hotels in Dubai and Bahamas, Atlantis Hotel brand decided to build the world's third Atlantis Hotel. The hotel has 1,314 rooms with a panoramic sea view and spans 537,336 square meters with a total investment of RMB11 billion. It is a seven-star hotel that is recognized as a landmark project in the development of Sanya tourist version 3.0. The Atlantis Water Park, which is operated by the hotel, is four times bigger than the Atlantis Water Park in Dubai and has a capacity of 13,500 visitors at once.
IT virtualization infrastructure accelerates application launch
The data center of Atlantis Hotel mainly contains a virtualized computing resource pool, a fiber storage shared resource pool, and a backup system. The architecture is developed with a virtualized cluster architecture that supports elastic expansion to enable rapid deployment of the hotel service management system and future applications.
To achieve quick service deployment, simple O&M management, and lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) for Atlantis Hotel, H3C adopted the blade server solution in the virtualized computing resource pool, which ensures the system's maintainability, availability, and scalability. As a result, a stable and reliable virtualized cluster is realized, enabling users to benefit from lower investment costs.
For its stable operations, the hotel has selected H3C to provide a range of network equipment, from servers to wired and wireless devices, to support its business.
Wired network improvement speeds up digital management
H3C applied environmentally-friendly routing switches to the wired network construction and achieved seamless integration of network services and security services for the Atlantis Hotel. Access switches were used for interconnection and access to IPTV, the office network, APs, and the guest network. This made it possible for the enterprise customer to exchange network data quickly across the three tiers of the core, convergence, and access networks, thus realizing the stability, scalability, and high performance and reducing the investment cost.
H3C used innovative data center virtualization and network convergence technology, a comprehensive IPv6 solution, hardware encryption, and many other innovative applications in the network design of the Atlantis Hotel. This met the enterprise customer's need for network security and stability and accomplished integrated multi-service bearing such as network traffic analysis and control.
Enhance wireless network and simplify deployment to improve stability
In the wireless network design of the Atlantis Hotel, the main construction requirements were to achieve effective coverage of public open areas such as the water park and hotel rooms, to ensure a high-speed and stable wireless access rate, to effectively prevent unauthorized users from accessing the wireless network as well as network security and encryption measures.
H3C primarily assisted users with the deployment of wireless in hotel rooms, indoor public areas, the surrounding region around the hotel, and other locations. The panel AP deployment method was used for the wardrobe in hotel rooms. In the design of wireless deployment, H3C fully considered the principles of manageability, dependability, technical maturity, openness, and expandability of the hotel wireless network, simplified wiring, and reduced failure points to improve the reliability and security of the network.
Additionally, H3C offered wireless network design consultancy services and wireless heat map analysis to the Atlantis Hotel to guarantee complete wireless coverage for the high-quality experience of the water park, which spans 193,333 square meters.
Digital hotel operation realized after innovative construction
With the development of wired and wireless network technologies, H3C has built a reliable, simplified, and controllable network system for the Atlantis Hotel with continuous online service. This innovation has also opened up many new possibilities for the hotel's digital operation.
In terms of digital operation, Atlantis has used the wireless network system to analyze wireless heat maps to guarantee complete wireless coverage for a superior experience in the water park. Atlantis Water Park has achieved value-added functions such as area heat map and foot traffic trajectory by using the Cupid technology, which differs from traditional positioning. Meanwhile, in terms of digital marketing, the heat map data analysis with wireless deployment ensures rich experience for users with diversified mobile terminals across locations, with the combination of new marketing tools.
With the network construction and operation, Sanya Atlantis Hotel has achieved the simplified and smooth operation of network device control and O&M. The smart network system has assisted the hotel in marketing and promotion, and other services, developing a new digital analysis model based on the network for hotels and large entertainment facilities.
H3C has been dedicated to accelerating the development of the digital economy and supporting the digital transformation of various industries. The digital construction of the wired and wireless networks and IT system of Sanya Atlantis Hotel provides an application example for the digital network construction of the hotel building industry in China. On the path to digital transformation, H3C will rely on its industry-leading integrated solutions, international vision and innovation capabilities to continue to work with hotel industry clients, provide powerful digital hotel management and network experience solutions, and contribute more to the digital transformation of various industries.
