On November 6 and 7, the inaugural IEEE Standards Association (SA) General Meeting & Anniversaries was successfully held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province in China. The conference, themed “Advancing Digitalization and Promoting Globalization”, assembled hundreds of authoritative industry experts and scholars from global standard organizations to discuss standardization construction and technological development trends in the areas of communication technology, AI (artificial intelligence), WLAN, and electrical engineering. H3C was invited to attend multiple forums at the conference, where it shared its latest research results and practical accumulation in standardization construction. The world’s first WLAN performance standards based on service experience in home scenarios, which H3C participated in developing, were also unveiled at the event.
H3C Persistently Tackling Key Technologies Challenges and Engaging Deeply in Global Standards Development
Standards construction plays a vital role in scientific and economic development, significantly influencing high-end technological fields. At this conference, two standards that H3C participated in developing: “Home Scenario: WLAN Single Device Network Performance and Experience Technical Specification” and “Home Scenario: WLAN Single Device Network Performance and Experience Test Method”, were released. As the world’s first WLAN performance standards based on service experience in home scenarios, they will provide superior guidance for the selection of wireless network devices in home environments in the future.

For years, H3C has attached great importance to the promotion and construction of standardization, actively participating in the standardization construction work of numerous domestic and international organizations, including IEEE, IETF, ISO, 3GPP, and more, leading and participating in over 700 standard projects. During the main forum’s panel discussion, Wang Wei, Vice President of H3C, along with other industry experts, discussed the topic of “Boosting the Development of Technology and Economy with Standardization”. Wang stated, “In the era of AI large-scale models, various technologies and standards will need to be tackled to build a cooperative and open standard development industry chain, which is crucial for promoting technological development and evolution. Through ecosystem construction, enterprises can focus on their areas of expertise, effectively utilizing the openness and efficiency of standards to develop themselves. H3C will spare no effort in its continued investment, jointly accelerating the continuous progress of the industry.”

Delving into Scenarios: H3C’s New Benchmark for High-Quality Wireless Networks with “4i” Technology
As wireless networks are being widely applied in various scenarios such as enterprise office, smart education, smart manufacturing, and smart healthcare, effectively enhancing network quality and user experience based on different scenario requirements and network construction standards is a common goal for the industry. At the “Wireless LAN Application Ecology and Standards Forum”, Michael Zhao, General Manager of H3C WLAN Product Line, delivered a keynote speech titled “Stick to Application Experience, Embrace Imagination”. He deeply shared the construction achievements of H3C in the field of wireless standards and practical experience of building enterprise-grade wireless network solutions.
Facing the widespread attention to the construction of large-scale campuses and headquarters branches, Zhao detailed H3C’s Central AC (Access Point Controller) Solution based on 4i technology – iRadio, iStation, iHeal, and iEdge. This solution, through cluster and stratification strategies, helps large and medium-sized campuses break through the bottlenecks of network centralized management and application experience, fully realizing a flexible, reliable, high performance wireless network experience.
4i Capability, Achieving Intelligent Network Healing: Implementing strategies based on intelligent RF management, intelligent terminal management, intelligent edge computing to make business more efficient, and intelligent network healing, to achieve progressive optimization of the wireless network in multiple dimensions, ensuring users always have a smooth internet experience when using key services;
AC Cluster, Creating High-Reliability Wireless Network: Controller clustering provides uninterrupted business upgrades as well as backup, expansion, and load sharing functions, enhancing network elasticity and reliability, and achieving a superior user experience;
Simpler, More Flexible Configuration Strategies: The configuration of the entire network is centralized on the Central AC platform, which also offers role-based access control functionalities, allowing for the creation of multi-level management permissions as needed. Through hierarchical configuration and configuration inheritance features, a simpler and more flexible network is established.
Terminal-Network Collaboration, Focusing on Real Business Experience: In roaming, RRM, and key business dimensions, terminal-network collaboration technology is used to ensure terminal services, allowing users to enjoy high-quality network experiences in high-hanging scenarios and high-bandwidth low-latency scenarios.
Notably, the networking architecture and scheduling platform technology involved in the Central AC Solution have been recognized as international standards by international standardization organizations and the International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC). This signifies a technological breakthrough in the field of wireless communication network cloud management technology, successfully placing China in a leading position worldwide in terms of infrastructure and networking modes.
At the Sub Forum, H3C also participated in the E-commerce Zone for World WLAN Application Alliance (WAA) Certified Products Signing Ceremony. More quality WLAN products will be introduced into the E-commerce Zone in the future, providing valuable guidance for customer product selection.
