Smart Elderly Care Services Solution for Regional Healthcare
Background:
In 2012, the General Office of the National Working Commission on Aging firstly proposed the concept of "intelligent elderly care" and encouraged the practice and exploration on smart elderly care.
In 2015, the State Council released the Guiding Opinions on Vigorously Advancing the "Internet Plus" Action, which clearly specified the task of promoting the development of the smart health and elderly care industry.
In February 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Civil Affairs, and National Health and Family Planning Commission jointly issued the Action Plan for the Development of Smart and Health Elderly Care Industry (2017-2020). According to the action plan, China will build 500 smart and health elderly care demonstration communities within five years, which indicates that the development of smart elderly care is ushering into a fast lane of development.
