Introduction to "Transformer"
With the increase of UIS hardware models and diversified customer scenarios, there is an urgent need for a unified cluster management system to support heterogeneous hardware. The UIS "Transformer" solution supports storage nodes, computing nodes, converged nodes, AI-accelerated nodes, and network-enhanced nodes simultaneously in the same cluster. The solution can also dynamically allocate computing and storage resources to help customers flexibly combine infrastructures based on demand, just like building blocks.
Features of Transformer
1) Free assembly
The UIS "Transformer" solution is designed to address the needs of diverse scenarios. The solution supports multiple role-type nodes based on a converged architecture, heterogeneous management based on unified experience, assembly like building blocks, elastic extension, and dynamic allocation. The hyper-converged system is built based on UIS-CAS and UIS-ONEStor to support the industry-wide service scenarios.
2) Free extension
The host discovery function based on self-contained HUTP protocol enables the UIS to discover nodes that are not included in the cluster on the interface through simple and reliable automatic scanning. After configuring necessary parameters, these nodes can be included in the cluster with one click.
You do not need to manually configure nodes. The UIS automatically configures the node network and storage according to the parameters entered by the user on the interface.
During extension, the roles of nodes can be manually specified, and the resource usage of nodes can be controlled independently, such as computing nodes and storage nodes.
