H3C Escorted the "BRICS Summit" and Contributed to the "Golden Future"

In the background of a digital economy era, building a new city has risen to the level of national strategy as a key trend in urban development. Together with its ecological partners, H3C has deeply participated in assurance of many conferences and activities that have a global influence and has provided fresh driving forces to boost the influence of cities.

From September 3 to 5 in 2007, the Xiamen BRICS Summit and the 9th meeting of BRICS leaders were grandly held in Xiamen International Convention Center and Exhibition Center. This summit is of great significance. The infrastructure, security level of the main conference venue, the branch venues, and the related reception hotels, as well as the smoothness, stability, and security of the network communication at the conference site were extremely important factors for ensuring the smooth running of the conference and bringing better experience for the guests. H3C was chosen as the conference's network security provider thanks to its innovative IT technologies, rich conference assurance experience, effective execution, and a strong sense of responsibility.

H3C built a "green channel" for the information communication of the BRICS Summit

Since the Xiamen BRICS Summit has a significant number of hotels and branch venues, H3C began preparations half a year in advance, with a special assurance project team of more than 50 people and a support team of dozens of people from the headquarters. To locate the issue on the site when necessary, they set up a 1:1 verification environment in the lab with the same network and configuration as the site. In addition, the spare parts library was completely prepared in accordance with the three-tier spare parts requirements (on-site spare parts, local storage, and Hangzhou central storage). Along with more than 180 days of planning, H3C's on-site assurance staff was on duty around the clock over the two days of the conference, enabling clients and partners to be rest assured.

During the conference, there were a lot of immediate network access demands from government delegations, local news media reporters, and other attendees. H3C deployed H3C S12500 switches for the main venue, press center, business forum, and command center to ensure real-time communication of the conference and press release of all media. Meanwhile, H3C deployed nearly 1,000 high-density wireless AP WA4330 in the main venue and the branch venues and thousands of APs in the public areas of all the hotels for reception. This guaranteed the network access and posting demands of all guests during the conference and ensured a barrier-free, high-speed, and secure connection of the conference network in all aspects. There was no doubt about the importance of the conference network assurance. With vBRAS and M9000 full-line security products, H3C supported the egress authentication and security protection of the main venue and the business forum to meet the needs of all leaders in the conference and their security.

H3C Contributed to the New Development Bank

In addition to the Xiamen BRICS Summit, H3C also contributed a lot to the New Development Bank project. The New Development Bank is a development bank created by BRICS countries. This international bank was established following the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and against the background of One Belt One Road. Regarded as the "vault" of BRICS countries, it is dedicated to providing financial services for the extensive cooperation among BRICS countries in the fields of trade and investment. The New Development Bank was established in 2015 headquartered in Pudong, Shanghai, China. From the beginning of headquarter planning, H3C was deeply involved in the planning and design of the data center IT infrastructure and provided a set of high-performance network platforms and cloud platforms that integrate new technologies in the industry. This significantly improved IT efficiency.
