Summary: H3C provides port solutions that integrate comprehensive perception, universal interconnection, convergence platform and industrial application to protect the transformation and upgrading of smart ports.
With the increasing maturity and application of technologies such as the IoT, big Internet, cloud computing, big data, and AI, the future of the port will be "smart", and the port's traditional IT architecture and O&M management model will change. This new model and architecture, with the application of ever-advancing technology, will bring about a significant increase in efficiency and the interconnection of things at the port. Staff or customers can check the status and location of containers, machinery and devices, vehicles, etc., at the port at any time, and can obtain the required IT hardware and software resources and quickly deploy the required operations within days or even hours. Therefore, the logistics supply and demand sides, as well as the management side, can be integrated into the system together. It realizes comprehensive information perception, smart supervision, smart service and O&M of the port; it also realizes automated construction and provides high security, high efficiency and high quality platform and service for the port.
H3C Group, a subsidiary of Tsinghua Unigroup, integrates cloud computing, big Internet, big data, big security and other technologies to provide mature and stable products and solutions for port industry informatization construction from four perspectives: comprehensive perception, universal interconnection, convergence platform and industrial application, including:
(1) Comprehensive perception
The port infrastructure covers the entire port, from water to land. Therefore, infrastructure detection has great difficulties. The application of IoT, combined with monitoring data, can reasonably and effectively fulfill remote and automatic control over devices, data collection, analysis and timely detection of abnormalities. For key devices or vulnerable components, alarm management on their health status will be achieved. The corresponding modules can collect and upload parameters (such as air temperature and humidity, CO2, toxic gases (NH3, H2S), water level), and provide early warning of abnormality, realize environmental monitoring and hazardous material leakage monitoring. The IoT applications related to port business can be provided: including container air humidity, temperature, ventilation data collection and upload; the warehouse asset management, using RFID scanning technology and passive tags, with low cost and no need for maintenance; smart street lights, combined with light sensors, to realize remote control, smart energy saving. The variety of IoT terminals and smart terminals at the port realize the comprehensive perception through the IoT technology.
(2) Universal interconnection
Interconnection is one of the core competencies of H3C, and H3C has focused on the enterprise network market for 13 years. Now, H3C can help users build connectivity capabilities for all scenarios from IoT to cloud data centers, including interconnection access capabilities for multiple protocols and connection modes: IoT, WLAN, LTE, 5G, industrial Ethernet, etc. It can provide transmission devices and high-end routing to meet the wide-area interconnection between ports and terminals. Through SDN technology application, it can increase the flexibility of the network, realize the network operation with people and separate transmission and control to meet the special needs of the production network in port area. The data center network and cloud are deeply integrated and linked to achieve one-stop resource delivery.
The port wireless connection plays a vital role in port interconnection. Wireless services in the port area include cluster scheduling, video backhaul (monitoring, RCMS), TOS, and mobile office. Several services are applied to a large number of port terminal scenarios, such as gates, quay cranes, and yards. They all need backhaul, and transportation, scheduling and maintenance need cluster scheduling systems. Our opportunity lies in the course of the network construction. All kinds of terminals can access the network through wireless WLAN or LTE according to the scenario. LTE uses a dedicated frequency band, which is not easy to be interfered with and covers a long distance. It is suitable for continuous coverage scenarios. However, WLAN requires low cost and the devices are small in volume, which is easier to deploy with high transmitting rate. Compared with traditional wireless networks, the combined LTE and WLAN solutions have the advantages of high bandwidth, wide coverage and flexible networking.
(3) Convergence platform
H3C provides ABC convergence solutions for ports to converge energy with cloud and inspire intelligence with data. It integrates AI, big data, cloud computing together on a unified platform, to provide related cloud services. One platform is used to control all situations. Through the cloud platform, all kinds of resources are brought together; through big data collection, data cleaning, data analysis, and integration of data resources, the port and shipping big data assets are constructed to allow users to keep track of port-related infrastructure, and to help achieve the rational assessment of shoreline resource utilization, important infrastructure adaptability assessment, etc.
H3C provides visual hub solutions for ports. The visual hub platform converges front-end device data, including cameras, access control, attendance check, perimeter data, and IoT data, and then performs video storage, intelligent analysis, and event retrieval to support upper layer applications, such as basic video, alarm, attendance check, intelligent behavior analysis, tracking, and helmet identification. In addition, the algorithm training platform can also support the training of third-party algorithms. It helps prevent incompatibility of multiple algorithms and vendor binding problems, effectively assisting in the port's operation.
(4) Industrial application
Cloud computing, big data, and AI are a glimpse of the digital era, and the boundaries of them have been blurred and empowering each other has become the trend. H3C has proposed the strategy of borderless ecology, which is to dilute camps with customers, partners and peer competitors in the port field, find the maximum intersection of all parties' capabilities and focus on customers' value. For example, the port navigation system launched by H3C and its partners realizes the visibility of navigation application services for container trucks inside and outside the port area. At the same time, it supports the provision of position correction algorithms for mandatory road correction of non-high-precision position data. The port operation visibility platform can realize the visibility of container information, bulk cargo yard visibility, inbound operation visibility, alarm information visibility, etc., and visually display the basic situation of port facilities in the form of charts to better assist in high-level decision-making.
