H3C retained its position as the largest vendor in China’s enterprise Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) market and Wi-Fi 6 market in the first quarter of 2022, securing a market share of 32 percent and 31.4 percent respectively, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC) China Quarterly WLAN Tracker, 2022Q1.
H3C has led the way in China’s enterprise WLAN market for 13 consecutive years since 2009, which fully demonstrates its extraordinary technological strength and innovative capability in wireless networks.
H3C has been taking the lead in the updating and application of Wi-Fi technology standards, devoted to creating smart and fast wireless network for customers by leveraging its full-stack capabilities.
2006 – First launch of AC+FIT Access Point (AP) architecture.
H3C released its first wireless controller WX5002 and rolled out the innovative AC+FIT AP architecture in 2006. In the next year, it introduced them to the carrier market and helped China’s three telecom giants - China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom, build Wi-Fi networks in cities, becoming carriers’ major supplier of Wi-Fi products.
2009 – Global debut of tri-band Wi-Fi 4 AP for high-density access scenarios.
In 2009, H3C released its Wi-Fi 4 AP with a transmission rate as high as 600Mbps in the global market, effectively satisfying the needs of Internet-based multimedia services. Since the same year, H3C has been at the top of China’s enterprise WLAN market share for 13 consecutive years.
2012 – Taking the lead in the application of smart antenna technology.
In 2012, H3C launched the first AP products adopting smart antenna technology, namely the WA3600i and WA2600i series APs, effectively promoting the comprehensive commercialization of this technology in Wi-Fi industry.
2017 – Wi-Fi 6 AP making global debut.
While Wi-Fi 4 propelled the popularization of wireless network and Wi-Fi 5 brought more possibilities to network-based businesses, Wi-Fi 6 had a more important mission. H3C’s Wi-Fi 6 AP features higher transmission rate, lower network latency, greater capacity, better safety performance, and higher energy efficiency, offering smart and fast network to users in various industries.
Moreover, H3C has launched an innovative all-scenario multi-protocol AI-native optical AP, which supports Internet protocols including Ethernet, GPON, and EPON, comprehensively optimizing network access procedures.
2022 – AI-native Wi-Fi 7 AP hitting global market.
Based on its outlook on the future trends for wireless network as well as its profound insights into customers’ needs, H3C launched its Wi-Fi 7 APs, WA7638 and WA7338, in April 2022. The new Wi-Fi 7 APs support tri-band transmission with up to 12 and 10 simultaneous data streams, with the maximum transmission rate reaching 18.44 Gbps. TheWA7638 has won the Grand Prize for Best of Show Award in the Mobile Computing (WiFi etc.) category at the Interop Tokyo 2022, the largest ICT event in Japan.
