H3C Releases Forward-thinking Insights into Top 10 Technology Trends for 2022

At the recent tech strategy media & analysts briefing held on April 15, H3C officially released its forward-thinking insights into top 10 technology trends for 2022, which provides an in-depth perspective on future trends and potential applications of ten dominant digital technologies, including extended reality (XR), cloud/edge integration, integrated sensing and communications.

Providing a Future-oriented Outlook

Based on profound insights into the evolution of technologies in the ICT sector, H3C released its prediction of the top 10 technology trends for 2022, namely XR, green and low-carbon solutions, cloud-edge integration, privacy computing, AI foundation models, deterministic networking, distributed security, new computing architecture, integrated sensing and communication, and multidomain ultra-wide network.

The development of the ICT sector has not only laid a solid foundation for digital innovations, but revealed four major scenarios in future society for the next 10 years, namely home empowered by XR technologies, campus featuring active service system, smart and green city, and super convenient, highly accurate and personalized public services.

Digital technologies should be oriented toward the needs of the physical world, and serve as a bridge connecting the digital world and the physical world, Liu Xinmin, Vice President of H3C and President of H3C’s Technology Strategy Department, said at the conference.

Digital technologies should integrate deeply into the real economy so as to help solve various problems in the real world, discover driving forces for digital transformation and upgrading in various industries, and inject fresh impetus into economic development, said Liu Xinmin. The ultimate goal of such in-depth integration is to improve the quality of people’s lives, which is the best way to demonstrate the true value of digital technologies, he noted.

Leveraging Innovations to Lead Industrial Trends

Focusing on technological innovations and based on the full-stack capabilities of its “Digital Brain”, H3C has made deployments for various domains including intelligent computing solutions, computing power network, deterministic network, privacy computing, data security, and metaverse, thus realizing all-round upgrading of intelligent digital platforms.

Intelligent computing center: By leveraging key underlying technologies concerning highly efficient computing, high-speed interconnection, mass storage, enabling platform, and low-carbon and energy-saving solutions, H3C aims to build economical, efficient, universally beneficial intelligent computing centers that empower various industries.

Privacy computing: H3C has rolled out privacy computing cloud and all-in-one privacy computing machine, which help realize the secure sharing of data in compliance with laws and regulations and achieve the goal of fully unleashing the value of data from data governance to the confirmation of and trade in data ownership.

Deterministic network: H3C has developed end-to-end deterministic network using technologies including 5G and Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), actively taken part in academic research and the formulation of standards for such networks, and made concerted efforts with partners to build an ecosystem for networks and create the “super high-speed train” of networks.

Computing power network: H3C has concentrated its efforts on underlying technologies of computing power network and accomplished the evolution of computing power network from distributed computing systems to a super computing brain. In this way, H3C has been able to promote the overall arrangement and allocation of resources in computing power network and facilitate efficient collaboration between cloud platforms and networks, thus reducing operating costs and improving user experience.
