H3C Continues to Lead the Way in China’s HCI Market in 2021Q2: IDC Report

H3C ranked first in China’s hyper converged infrastructure (HCI) market during the second quarter of this year, according to a report recently released by the International Data Corporation (IDC), which is titled “2021 Q2 IDC PRC SDS & HCI System Tracker Delivery”.

After years of efforts in promoting technological upgrading and extensive application, H3C’s industry-leading UIS (Unified Infrastructure System) HCI system is now able to support key services in many scenarios.

H3C began to develop UIS HCI Solution in 2011, and officially launched its UIS HCI 1.0 two years later. Its UIS HCI 3.0 rolled out in 2015 provides a software-defined data center (SDDC) solution that integrates computing, storage, network and security.

Last year, H3C launched its UIS HCI 7.0, which creatively integrates five major engines and led the HCI market to the cloud and AI-native era. It boasts the following features:

 Hospital Information System for Medical Corporation Sapporo Heart Center, Sapporo Cardio Vascular Clinic in Japan

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, H3C’s UIS HCI 7.0 helped the Medical Corporation Sapporo Heart Center, Sapporo Cardio Vascular Clinic in Japan build its hospital information system, which supports the hospital’s core services including LIS, EMR, and PACS with HCI system.

During the project, H3C helped cut 80 percent of the deployment time for the hospital through pre-optimized software installation and automatic network configuration, and reduced the hospital’s cost of building the system by 30 percent.

 Government Cloud for China’s Hainan Province

H3C’s UIS HCI 7.0 has broken the limits of traditional HCI systems on scale, and successfully deployed an HCI system with up to 270 nodes, helping moving the government affairs of Hainan province onto a cloud platform. It took only three days for the deployment of the entire basic platform.

With the smart acceleration engine, the UIS products achieve end-to-end acceleration of the hyper-converged system network and storage, keeps delay at microsecond level, and meets the demand for high concurrency of multiple services.
