The “going abroad” strategy to support Russia’s digital economy
In the interview, Huang affirmed the development prospects of the Russian ICT market. As one of the world’s largest and most dynamic economies, Russia is stepping up digitalization in a wide range of sectors. Statistics show that the Russian government will provide about 552 billion rubles in funding for digital economy projects from 2021 to 2023. According to the Russian government’s Digital Economy Program, by 2022, stable 5G networks will cover ten cities with a population of one million; by 2024, stable 5G networks will cover all Russian cities with over a million people.
“International business is a strategic focus of H3C”, Huang said. “It is also our most important business growth engine, and Russia is one of our most important markets. With H3C’s rich resources and experience in promoting digital upgrades in Chinese government departments and enterprises, we have the ability to fully support and contribute to the development of Russia’s digital economy.”
