Li Li, Vice President of H3C and President of Solution Department, delivers a welcome speech at the Smart Campus Summit, April 9, 2021.
As the basic unit of a city, campuses have gradually become the most important arena for production and living. These campuses are not only in the vanguard of the efforts to promote effective allocation of production factors and social resources conservation, but also important drivers of the development of digital economy, pointed out Li Li, Vice President of H3C and President of Solution Department, at the Smart Campus Summit.
To facilitate innovation in the operation and user experience of campuses, solution providers must integrate and accumulate various technologies of the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, and meanwhile have profound understanding of the real needs of various industries, and create synergy between technological innovations and industry needs so as to benefit more people with smart facilities.
Liu Gaofeng, Deputy Director of Industry and Planning Research Institute of China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT) makes a speech at the Smart Campus Summit, April 9, 2021.
“Smart campus is an intelligent organism in a smaller physical space. Its features include comprehensive perception, ubiquitous connectivity, active services, intelligent evolution, people-oriented development philosophy, green and efficient operation, and increase in business value,” Liu Gaofeng, Deputy Director of Industry and Planning Research Institute of China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT), said at the event.
Liu stressed that smart campus solutions providers need to, through the application of digital and smart technologies and for better satisfying people’s needs, strive to help people in smart campuses work more efficiently and live a happier life, realize smart and lean operations and efficient allocation and full sharing of resources and space in smart campuses, and promote high-quality industrial development and rise in business value for smart campuses, in a bid to achieve comprehensive digitalization of smart campuses and facilitate their high-quality development.
Will Wang, General Manager of H3C Solution Business Department, delivers a speech at the Smart Campus Summit, April 9, 2021.
H3C is committed to making smart campus the second home of users by bringing them sense of security and belonging, sense of good experience and sense of achievement and value, and helping them realize their self-worth, Will Wang, General Manager of H3C Solution Business Department, said at the event.
In so doing, H3C endeavors to support the operation of smart campus with such digital technologies as those involving connection, computing, data, AI, and cloud platform, and improve user experience by strengthening system guarantee, workflow optimization, and the construction of cultural system.
As an important part of China’s efforts to build its digital strength, smart campuses will need to be able to unlock the value of data faster through technological innovation, deployment of application, and ecological construction.
Based on its newly released Cloud & AI Native strategy, H3C provides overall solutions and all-round services covering such aspects as consultation and planning, designing and implementation, operation and maintenance (O&M) and management for the construction of smart campuses, and accelerates the digitalization and intelligentization of smart campuses with scientific and technological innovations.
In the new era, smart campuses need to pay attention to the integrated development of digitalization, workflow system, and culture.
Since the smart campus industry is currently in the exploration stage, the construction of smart campuses is faced with a multitude of problems and challenges, such as the lack of overall planning and unified design, the absence of sharing of vertical data among various departments, as well as poor system O&M after the completion of the construction.
To address such problems and challenges, smart campus solutions providers should not simply focus their efforts on technicalization or digitalization, but need to adopt an overall perspective, make scientific planning, and leverage smart applications for the development and construction of smart campus, Wang stressed.
H3C’s solutions to smart campus boast capabilities covering all the aspects of the construction and development of smart campus, including top-level planning and consultation, important and key solutions, implementation of construction tasks, and guarantee for O&M.
With H3C Oasis Platform at the core, the company’s solutions can achieve full data-driven capabilities and ensure perfect and mature project management and visual management of overall quality control process and O&M.
In particular, H3C’s solutions to smart campus have realized the following features:
