The COVID-19 pandemic is a global crisis which has brought great challenges but opportunities as well. Now more than ever, the world needs to stay in constant contact despite current events, specifically in the workforce. With the increasing demand for digital economy, H3C has taken recent challenges that the world is facing and turned them into innovative opportunities.
Gary Huang, President of the International Business and Senior Vice President of H3C at the Online Advanced Seminar on Digital Silk Road
Gary Huang, President of the International Business and Senior Vice President of H3C, shared his insights on the development of global digital economy in the Post-Pandemic Era at the Online Advanced Seminar on Digital Silk Road. The event, held by the International Cooperation Center (ICC) of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on June 6 and 7, has gathered 56 senior government officials as well as top scholars and entrepreneurs from across various industries of 16 countries and regions, including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Thailand.
"As recent events have shown," Huang said, "The world might be unpredictable, but H3C is embracing the unpredictable and enabling businesses to do the same. To put it more specifically, businesses should no longer have to suffer from working productivity loss caused by insufficient digital infrastructure; H3C’s digital solutions including H3C Workspace Solution can help them better welcome smart working as an opportunity and excel while doing so."
Huang believes that digital transformation does not happen overnight but needs to be distributed and implemented on demand.
"Goverments and enterprises around the world are now finding digitalization to be a very hot topic and would like to complete the process as soon as possible," he said. "However, it is a long journey and you need to have several crucial factors in place. You need to know your current status and asset, be aware of any business challenges, recognize your target and have a clear plan, and build your expert team well versed in ICT with deep industry insights and practice."
As a leader of digital solutions, H3C offers a comprehensive digital platform, as well as in-depth industry insights and smart applications, to help companies from all industries accomplish digital transformations.
For H3C, a key business strategy is to develop overseas markets, including the Belt and Road cooperation. As of May 2020, H3C has business in more than 25 countries around the world and deployed digital brain solutions for many customers across many industries, helping to build smart airports, smart universities and smart hospitals with local partners. To date, H3C has estabilished seven subsidiaries in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Russia, Pakistan and Kazakhstan and plans to open five more offices in Asia and Europe in the near future.
"We not only sell products and services to international customers, but also share our rich experience in digital transformation to drive win-win-win situations and growing together in the local markets" Huang iterated.
Apart from helping customers work out their digital transformation plan and supplying technical and service support, H3C also delivers empowerment programs covering ICT technology, engineering and ICT industry management to 1000+ trainees in over 12 countries.
The acceleration of digitalization after the COVID-19 pandemic will be leading more and more changes of people’s everyday life. H3C aims to spread digitalization worldwide and assist in this global transition and revolution leading to an intelligent future.
