Restrictions and guidelines
1.Before updating the software version, it is strongly recommended that you understand the software feature changes between versions, evaluate the possible impact of the changes on the business, and refer to the relevant supporting documents.
2.This firmware version of Legacy PXE does not support 64 bit bar space.
3.This firmware version of Legacy PXE does not support IPv6.
Installation steps
Linux OS
1.Log in to the system with an administrator account.
2.Upload the corresponding firmware file mcr_xxx_x86_kernel_ xxx. tar.gz to the system.
3.Execute the following commands:
tar -zxvf mcr_xxx_x86 _ xxx.tar.gz ##Decompress the firmware package.
cd mcr_xxx_x86 _ xxx/fw_hw/ ##Enter the fw_hw directory of the decompressed firmware package
4.Execute the command ./yun_upgrade.sh -e 01:00.0 to upgrade the firmware of target NIC.
Note:
①01:00.0 refers to the bus number of target NIC port 0. Without the -e 01:00.0 parameter, the firmware of all yunsilicon metaScale NICs on the server will be updated.
②If the firmware update process prompts a failure to operate the configuration file, the error content is shown in the following figure. Please move the firmware file mcr_xxx_x86_ xxx. tar.gz to the/var/log path, and then perform steps (3) - (4) to update the firmware.
5.After the firmware upgrade is successful, restart the system to make the new firmware effective.
6.After re-entering the system, execute the command ethtool -i ethx (ethx is the name of the network port) to check that the NIC firmware version is the target version.
Note: The supporting driver must be at least version 1.2.0.367.H460 in order for the OS to display the network port properly.
Windows OS
